Pancake Supper 2023

Immanuel Anglican Church’s First Annual Pancake Supper was held on Shrove Tuesday, February 21 st . The men of the parish, along with some help from Immanuel ladies, stepped up to prepare the supper. About ninety people enjoyed pancakes and sausages, topped with strawberries, peaches and whipped cream, along with syrup and a specially prepared butter. It was the first time for the parish to prepare and serve a meal for parishioners due to previous restrictions during the pandemic. The opportunity for fellowship was appreciated as old friendships were renewed and new ones were forged. When “Dave” arrived and began serving pancakes, some may have wondered how “he” lost his voice, but were still very surprised at the end of the supper when “Dave” turned out to be “Diane”, our very own Reverend Diane Guilford – what a good sport!
